Driven by a personal precedent, I began to study the concept of “the wilderness” in different graphic representations of the 15th century New World that attempted to delimit the Americas’ territory. These early stories of exploration reveal a mesmerized and often conflicted human relationship with the landscape, exposing a deep dispute over territories.
This research became the basis for my ongoing multi-format art installation entitled “The Abyss*,” which explores the end of the world, the wild and untamed, through its historical, narrative, and aesthetic forms.

Impulsada por un precedente personal, comencé a estudiar el concepto de «lo salvaje» en diferentes representaciones gráficas del Nuevo Mundo del siglo XV en las que se intentaba delimitar el territorio de América. Estas primeras historias de exploración revelan una relación humana hipnotizada y a menudo conflictiva con el paisaje, exponiendo una profunda disputa sobre los territorios.
Esta investigación se convirtió en la base de mi instalación artística multiformato en curso titulada «The Abyss*» (El abismo), que explora el fin del mundo, lo salvaje e indómito, a través de sus formas históricas, narrativas y estéticas.
